Ángel Ramos Torres was a philanthropist and patron of cultural activities. He was a pioneer businessman in mass media communications. He turned Puerto Rico into one of the most advanced media centers on the hemisphere connecting it to the world. He created the first business that integrated written press, radio and television. He surprised Puerto Rico with the first television transmission and programs transmited through a remote control. He founded “Film and Dubbing” in the ’50, the first business in Puerto Rico and Latin America dedicated to dubbing movies from English to Spanish, which the voices of many Puerto Rican artists became popular. He was one of the founders and president of “Inter American Press Association”.
